CONTEXT:
A few months ago I started playing around with Processing and a Midi keyboard. I spent the first few days very engaged in this little side project but then I left it aside and went directly to the idea's graveyard. Unlike many other projects, I decided to bring it back to life over the easter break. Although it still needs to be improved, I wanted to share here this first functional version.
ABOUT:
I am using WebMidi.js and p5.js to transform music into live visuals. So far I am using the name, octave, attack, and duration of each note pressed to change the appearance of the shape playing with the tone, saturation, bumps, and spherical coordinates, as well as rotating the shape to the BPM.
